I am looking to try something different this year
during conferences and so I am including this note along with the Athlone
School Triad Conferences letter. I will be setting up the students’ portfolios
in the library for them to share with their family during the time that you
have signed up for. I will not be in the library but instead will be in my room
running short 10 minute meetings to discuss your child and any concerns you may
have. In the past I have found that many
times there are parents that have questions about the report card or I have
concerns that I would like to discuss in a more private setting. I am going to make a schedule that allows you
10 minutes with me in the classroom. I will try to work around the time that
you have selected through the online bookingd but remember there may be some
overlap. This is new for me and I am only trying it for the first conferences
only, as I feel these are important conversations to have at the beginning of
the year. If you would like a 10 minute meeting with myself, Mrs. Jensen,
please detach this bottom portion and I will return it with a more specific
time to come to my class to meet. Please also list any siblings and their
teacher so I can try to work around their meeting times. I ask for your patience and understanding as
I try this new system and will look forward to any feedback.
